Shawl Collar Men’s Sweater

June 3, by Shellie Wilson. Leave a Comment

This is an advanced level knitting pattern for a man’s shawl collar sweater that features all-over cables, which gives it a geometric feel. The sweater is knitted in Sirdar Country Classic, a soft and cosy yarn, and can be made in sizes S to XXXL.

To complete this pattern, you will need single point needles in 4mm (USA 6) and 3.25mm (USA 3), stitch holders, and a cable needle. The pattern is suitable for advanced knitters with experience working with cables and shaping.

In my personal opinion, the design is busy and has a lot going on. It might not be to your liking but it is a favorite style among readers. Cabled designs tend to be more complex and can take longer to knit, but the result is a beautiful and unique piece of knitting. The shawl collar adds a touch of elegance and warmth to the design, which is perfect for cold weather.

Design No: 10090 is the reference number for this pattern, which will be helpful if you want to reference it again in the future. Even though it might not be your favorite, this pattern is an excellent choice for knitters who want to create a stylish and cozy sweater for men, with a geometric design that is perfect for cold weather.
