For some reason it decided to get cold again here for a couple of days, so I’m dreaming of summer even harder than I already was. It doesn’t help that I’m about a month away from the beach, so I am definitely ready for some summer knitting projects.
The Caron X Pantone Knit Boatneck Shell is a perfect little project for summer. The boxy design has very little shaping, and by using a solid color and a self-striping color in the same project, you get a little more depth and interest than using a solid or a striped yarn alone.
You can grab the pattern for free from Yarnspirations, and in no time you’ll have your new favorite shell for summer.

We’re a big Studio Ghibli household, and while they are sometimes very protective of their copyrights (as evidenced by the number of patterns on Ravelry that were removed from the service when it received a takedown notice back in 2021), there are still a fair number of Totoro knitting patterns (as well as other designs I’m sure we’ll get to someday). Let’s check them out!
