A solid-color tree skirt is nice because it doesn’t detract attention from the tree itself, but of course you still want it to be pretty when it’s not covered with gifts.
The Snowbell Tree Skirt knitting pattern from Knitatude uses the daisy stitch, which looks like snowbells and it pretty easy to knit. It’s worked in a single color with the fancy stitching along the outside edge and plain knitting on the main part of the skirt.
This one calls for super bulky yarn, so even though it’s a big project it should knit up pretty quickly from the center out.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
