Vests or similar sleeveless tops are great for kids throughout the year (my daughter just wore a summer top on top of a long-sleeved shirt yesterday) because they add a little warmth but aren’t quite as restrictive as sweaters.
This garter stitch vest sized for a 12 to 18 month old from Pure Craft is really cute and easy even though it has some cool details that make it look a little more difficult than it is.
Little projects like this are a great way to use up some stash because you can always work more or fewer stripes depending on how much yarn you happen to have in the main color.
Do you have any go-to little baby projects like this? I’d love to hear about them!

This vest is so cute! I think this pattern would be perfect for a little boy, and little boy patterns are sometimes hard to find.
