As much as I’m ready to rush headlong into fall knitting, the truth is there’s still plenty of time to knit some simple, pretty summer knits as well. I know here in the south it’s not really going to be scarf and sweater weather for a long time, no matter how much the recent unseasonable weather has us fooled.
If you’d still like to stitch a little summer wardrobe staple, check out Tonia Barry’s ruffle tank in Silky Alpaca Lace for Classic Elite Yarns.
This pattern is really pretty simple, with a little ruffle at the top to add interest and cuteness. This would be a really quick knit for the last summer parties of the season or to wear under a jacket when it’s a little cooler outside.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
