When it’s cold and dark outside I really want to knit with bright colors. I love the two-toned cheerfulness of the Cityscape Shawl designed by Benjamin Matthews for Red Heart Yarn.
Using two colorways of the same colorful Colorscape yarn, centered decreases give the project a chevron look that’s pretty easy to accomplish.
And if you use the same yarn as in the sample, you can knit one of these for less than $25. Sounds like a pretty good use of your entertainment budget, since you know you don’t want to leave the house anyway.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
