Knitting with roving yarn can be a little tricky because it’s not really wound, or it’s just very gently wound, which can make it easy to split your stitches.
But it’s also really lofty and warm, which makes it perfect for knit accessories for fall and winter. And it’s thick, so those accessories will not only be delightfully bulky they’ll be quick to knit, too.
Patons Classic Wool Roving is used in the Split Rib Cowl pattern on the Yarnspirations website, and it’s a really great look.
I love the contrasting edging, but of course you could use the same color or two colors a little closer together in hue if you wanted. And that split on the side makes it so much easier to wear because it’s not all bunched up around your neck.
