To be honest I was just working on a long-sleeved wool sweater the other day, because being cold knows no season for me, but for people who are a little better at regulating their temperature, some short-sleeved knit garments might be in order this time of year.
There’s a great roundup of shorter sleeve knitting patterns (some have three-quarter sleeves) at In the Loop Knitting that you might want to check out if you’re looking for some summer knitting projects you can actually wear in the summer (or if it’s heading into winter where you are, that can help you look forward to spring). Many of the patterns are free, too.
There’s lots of great stuff here but one I really love is Mimic by Veronika Jobe. It’s an oversized, pieced, asymmetrical, ribbed vest/sweater that you can layer or wear alone. I actually downloaded it already and will definitely be searching my stash for something I can use to make it soon.
Do you ever knit short-sleeved (or sleeveless) tops? I’d love to hear about it.
