There’s a chill in the air in the mornings (though it’s still plenty warm in the afternoon) these days where I live, and I’ve been finishing up things to keep me warm (a blanket, two sweaters, a pair of socks) all week.
Leg warmers are a classic knit project that’s perfect for keeping part of you legs warm, and they’re not just for dancers and gymnasts, though my daughter who does both would certainly love a pair.
These simple ribbed leg warmers from Flax & Twine take just a skein of yarn in any size (they are sized youth small to extra large, which would also fit a small adult), and they use bulky yarn so they’ll knit up in no time.
I love sliding leg warmers under my jeans on really cold days. Do you ever wear them?

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
