I am consistently amazed by the ability of knitters to come up with new and different ways to express things in yarn.
The Briocherub hat knitting pattern from Katrin Schubert is one such knitting marvel that combines Star Stitch and Brioche knitting into a striking pattern that looks super fun to knit.
Because the transition between the ribbing and the patterned part of the hat doesn’t happen all at once, you have time to learn the stitch technique before it becomes an allover pattern.
It’s such a cute design it is well worth the effort to learn the technique, and will be a really fun hat to have next time winter rolls around.
The pattern runs €4 or about $4.64 as of this writing.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
