Lately I have been stalking around on Ravelry for summery tops and garments for spring, never mind that I’m deep in a knitting project I’d really like to finish while the weather is still right for me to wear it.
This one is definitely going on my to-knit list.
The Elowyn pattern from Tian Foley for Classic Elite Yarns is a sweet little A-lie top with Garter Stitch straps for a super casual look.
It’s worked in a blend of linen, wool and alpaca, so it’s great to wear most of the year, and you can wear it as a vest or on its own as a tank top.
The pattern is available for free on Ravelry.

Sashiko is a traditional Japanese embroidery technique that uses running stitches to make lines (straight or otherwise) that reinforce and insulate fabric. It can be used as a mending technique or for decorative purposes, and it has become popular in recent years as a visible mending technique.
