First the Yarn Shop Directory…….This directory is organized by State, or by Shop Name, or by City Name, or by Area Code. And, it’s brought to you by The Daily Knitter, here.
I had to play around with it, I just had to, you know I did!
Found a couple of shops I didn’t know about in my area code. Saturday, here I come! I found a new shop I hadn’t found earlier in my Mid-January vacation destination (you can bet I’ve already got those scoped out!). And, just for the fun of it, I put “yarn” into the name of the shop section and got quite a few listings. Go figure!
But The Daily Knitter is more than just a yarn shop directory.
There’s the Free Pattern of the Day, Book and Product Reviews, Articles, Tips, Forums, it’s really a great site. Sign up for their newsletter too. And, check out their blog. And, and, and, and….. this site is really pretty neat!
Here’s the free pattern of the day from yesterday. From Castonerika’s blog, here: http://castonerika.blogspot.com/2008/08/two-needle-christmas-stocking.html
Isn’t he cute?
Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
Nice.!
I lost this pattern a two years ago, how can I get it again?
It looks like that site is by invitation only, but if you have a google account you can log in and request permission to view the site. I don’t know if there’s any easier way…maybe check the internet archive? (that’s archive.org)
