I have recently become kind of obsessed with knit vests. Maybe it’s because the warmer weather is finally creeping in after all the snow, or maybe it’s because of all the snow (I discovered I love piling on a vest and a knit sweater for extra warmth).
Maybe it’s just that sleeves are boring.
Anyway, after I finish the sweater I’m working on (stuck on the sleeves, of course) I’m planning a few knit vests.
This Button Front Crew Neck Vest from Patons might be going on my list. It’s a really simple knit, just Stockinette Stitch and ribbing, and it’s a great project to learn how to make buttonholes if that’s not something you already are comfortable with.
It’s also knit with chunky yarn so it’s a pretty fast project, too.
The pattern is free and comes in 9 sizes, up to a finished size of 65 inches.
Grab the pattern from Yarnspirations.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
