I guess spring is actually only a few weeks away by the calendar, but it definitely feels like winter isn’t done with us yet.
I’m still feeling the urge to knit sweaters and cozy socks, and while I don’t need another knit blanket (if need is even a word that can be used in such a sentence) I wouldn’t blame anyone for casting on the Moonstone Plaid Blanket from Two of Wands right now.
It uses four colors of bulky yarn and big needles and is just knit in Garter Stitch stripes, so even though it’s a big project it actually isn’t a huge time investment in the actual knitting (there is weaving of yarn onto the blanket involved to make the plaid design, and that takes some time, too).
The fringe on this one is pretty cool, too.
You can grab the free pattern on her blog.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
