This week it’s cold again where I live, and I know a lot of the United States has been colder than it should be for the last few days as I write this.
There might not be time to knit a whole sweater before it warms up again, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy working on one as a hedge against cool days (and air conditioning) to come.
The easy eyelet yoke cardigan from Knitatude is a great basic with a little something fun to keep it from being too basic.
Hers is worked in a solid color and, as the name suggests, it includes eyelets on the yoke for added interest.
It’s worked from the top down so after that little bit of excitement its quick knitting Stockinette the rest of the way. And this pattern (available in nine sizes and intended to be worn with 5-7 inches of positive ease) is worked in medium weight yarn so it will knit up quickly because of that, too.
You can grab the pattern on Etsy.
