Here’s another great Christmas ornament knitting project you can whip up a bunch of in a hurry. The felted bells from Purl Soho are lovely in singles, or knit and felt a bunch to make a garland or swag (is there a difference?) or gifts for a crowd.
Those shown with the pattern are all worked in white, which is lovely, but this is also a great opportunity to use up little leftover bits of wool or other animal fiber yarn. Just use a needle two sizes bigger than you usually would with the yarn involved and see what happens.
I love that the pattern shows different sizes of bells and they are worked with different fibers so you can get some idea of the different results that different kinds of yarn can bring. What a fun experiment that also turns into a fun decoration.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
