Vickie Howell was on the Hallmark Channel recently as part of the Christmas in July programming for the Home and Family show, and she showed off a super cute and quick to knit Christmas stocking you might want to put on your knit list if you need some new holiday accessories this year.
The stocking uses two colors of super bulky yarn and a fun eyelet pattern that looks more complicated than it is. It’s even worked flat and seamed for even easier knitting (though there are still short rows for the heel, this is a great way to learn them if you’ve been afraid of them before).
I love the look of this project and the funky retro-modern colors she chose to use on her samples.
Are you knitting for Christmas or winter yet? I’d love to know what you’re working on!

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
