I love a project with a good story, and I have to say, after this story, I feel a deeper kinship with Sandra from the Feminine Touch Designs.
She was cleaning up in her craft room and found an unfinished project that had been hibernating so long she’d lost the pattern.
So she picked out a few rows and carefully documented the pattern so she could continue to knit it, and she’s shared the results so the rest of us can make one, too.
She’s not sure where the original lace pattern came from, but it features pretty rows of arches, and she added a scalloped edging to the shorter sides to make it a little fancier.
I think it turned out great and well worth what was surely a great amount of effort to work the pattern out right.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
