Triple rib (knit 3, purl 3) does a great job of hugging the body, which makes it great for all sorts of projects that you want to fit closely.
The Audrey top, designed by Joanna Rankin for Knit Picks, uses allover ribbing and calls for 6-20 inches of negative ease to make it extra snug.
It also includes beads that are knit into the top for a bit of extra fun (though these are optional). It’s worked in the round from the top down and available in nine sizes. The pattern also gives some tips for picking a size and customizing length if you like.
The pattern is a free download from the Knit Picks website.
