Craft blogs are a great place not only to find new patterns or projects designed by the blogger, but also to learn about projects they have made that came from other places. I definitely don’t do enough writing about that sort of thing, which is a shame because there are a lot of great patterns out there that I knit but don’t really talk about.
Over at All About Ami, Stephanie wrote about being smitten by the pattern on the yarn label for Lion Brand Touch of Alpaca. She knit the Lima Super Slouch Hat (registration required to download, or grab a ball at the store and read the ball band) for herself and made a scaled-down, less-slouchy version for her daughters.
Both of them are super cute and she looks amazing in that hat. Serious hat envy over here.
Check her post for all the details on the kids’ version and her pattern notes for the adult version as well.
Have you ever knit the pattern on the ball band? I’d love to hear about it!

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
Love the look bad Love the look of the HAT. Great mommy and me.
