Knit a Quick, Chunky Cabled Headband

This pretty braided cable headband can be knit in an hour or less.This cool braided cable headband pattern from Fan of Stuff is billed as a great last-minute Christmas present, but of course it’s great any time of year when you need some warmth on the double.

It uses two worsted weight yarns held together, but you could use a single strand of bulky yarn, too, whatever’s handy in your stash and needs to be knit.

The cable pattern is really easy, even if you’ve never worked cables before, and the designer estimates this project will take you less than an hour, which sounds like the perfect evening’s entertainment when you’re snowed in or just want a new accessory to keep you warm the next day.
