I love making a super bulky yarn out of several strands of yarn held together. The finished knit fabric becomes something really interesting, especially when you choose different colors and/or textures of yarn to work with at the same time. It also makes a project go by in a flash.
If you’d like to try out knitting with multiple strands at once in a project, check out the toddler/kid and adult versions of the Triple Knit Hat from Gina Michele. Both versions are super easy and quick to knit in the round using three strands of yarn and a size 15 US circular needle.
I love how she combined neutral and more colorful yarns to make the hats pop without being too wild. These would be great for using up little odd balls if you don’t mind if the color changes a bit as you go or if you have a bunch of odd balls of the same or similar colors.
You’ll want to keep this one on hand for gift knitting, I have no doubt. I’m thinking of making one for my daughter this evening.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
What a terrific idea!
