I love the look of plaid in knitting. It’s kind of unexpected and it looks complicated but there are really easy ways to do it.
On the Atrium top by yamagara, the pattern for the plaid is established with purl stitches, which are then embellished with contrasting color crochet chains.
The pattern is worked in fingering weight yarn and comes in five sizes, with three options for the sleeves (sleeveless, short sleeved and half sleeve).
