Sometimes it’s easier to get a child to bundle up if their winter accessories include a bit of fuzzy, furry, warm yarn.
This Kid’s Lumberjack Hat from Nemcsok Farms is a great choice for a kid in a cold climate who might not always want to wear a hat. The addition of furry yarn to an already bulky knit adds even more warmth, personality and style.
It also uses alpaca yarn for warmth, but you can use whatever you have on hand.
The hat is worked from the top down, with the boa yarn used on the brim and flaps. It’s so cute and easy for newer knitters, too.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
We had to make two of these…as my girls decided they each had to have one 🙂
