Last week I was writing about sweater knitting for About, and I illustrated an article with an in-progress sweater.
I got a few questions about what sweater it was, so I thought I’d share now that it’s finished.
The pattern is Nutmeg by Jennifer Stark, and it’s a free Ravelry download.
It’s a dead simple top-down raglan pullover worked in bulky yarn that literally has four rounds of purl in the whole thing. I love a rolled hem!
I worked mine in Misti Alpaca Chunky in California Lilac. It’s not a color I’d usually pick for myself but I love it. This big sweater is really warm and cozy and I’m sure I’ll be wearing it a lot once it’s a little colder.
What have you finished lately? I’d love to hear about it!

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
I’m literally making Nutmeg right now with Knit Picks Brava bulky in black. So far my white dog is doing an excellent job shedding all over my WIP
You did a beautiful job! I just finished a cotton bath mat for my sister and need to start working on some other Christmas gifts.
