I am always looking for different ways to store my yarn and regularly go back and forth between wanting to see what I have and wanting it all hidden.
If you’re more of a display type person, this roundup of yarn stash storage solutions from Apartment Therapy is drool-worthy. It shows yarn displayed in crates, on a wine storage shelf, in shoe cubbies, coffee cans and on metal shelves.
It even shows my personal favorite way for keeping yarn organized, accessible and visible but in an out-of-the-way way: over-the-door shoe organizers.

We’re a big Studio Ghibli household, and while they are sometimes very protective of their copyrights (as evidenced by the number of patterns on Ravelry that were removed from the service when it received a takedown notice back in 2021), there are still a fair number of Totoro knitting patterns (as well as other designs I’m sure we’ll get to someday). Let’s check them out!
Very smart solution. I never would have thought of that!
