I have this storebought cardigan that I call my house sweater, because I wear it a lot when I’m hanging out at home. I’ve been feeling for a while that this sweater needs an upgrade, preferable a handknit version.
The Daylight Cardigan from All About Ami might be just the thing.
It’s a long, simple cardigan with patch pockets and no buttons so it’s a good beginner sweater knitting pattern. You could always add stripes or make it a stash busting project if you wanted, but that Chainette yarn from Lion Brand looks pretty irresistible. It’s a blend of alpaca, wool and polyamide, meaning it’s soft but light, airy and warm at the same time.
You can grab the free version of this pattern, available in eight sizes, on her website, get an ad-free, paid version on Ravelry or Etsy, or get the kit with yarn from Lion Brand.
