The other day I told you that I was taking part in the Christmas in July makealong with Underground Crafter, and I wanted to share my project with you.
This simple cowl is made using the mosaic knitting technique, which is a slip-stitch colorwork technique that uses just one color per row or round.
Alternating the color you work, you slip stitches so that the color from the previous row gets pulled up, which makes the design.
This cowl is a great introduction to the technique. It’s worked in the round, and I love that the multicolored yarn I used (Lion Brande Ferris Wheel) makes it look like I changed colors while I worked, but I didn’t.
If you’re thinking about knitting for the holidays, this one would make a great gift because it’s pretty fast and easy and would work for anyone on your list.
Check out the pattern over on Our Daily Craft, or add it to your Ravelry queue.
